Sherwood Pictures' hit 2011 film 'Courageous' will soon make its way into homes in DVD come Jan. 17, 2012 nationwide.
The 'Courageous Collector's Edition' DVD offers over two hours of bonus features, including the 22-minute 'The Making of Courageous', as well as a Casting Crowns music video and outtakes and bloopers, to name a few. Other extras include: Deleted Scenes, a Commentary by the Kendrick Brothers, Heart of 'Courageous,' The Story of My Father, 'Courageous' in 60 Seconds, A Church in Prayer, and The Importance of Fathers. There are also special features featuring Mount Zion Baptist Church senior pastor Rev. Daniel Simmons (Role of a Lifetime), Sherwood Baptist Church senior associate pastor and musician Mark Willard (Ministering Through Music), and actress Erin Bethea (Serving Behind the Scenes), plus a Sherwood Pictures Retrospective, a feature on Sherwood Volunteers, and a Ministry and Resource Video to Guide Your Next Steps, and so much more.
According to executive producer and Sherwood Baptist Church senior pastor Michael Catt, 'Courageous' is a one-of-a-kind movie that combines "an entertaining, engaging story with a vital, inspiring message." He adds that viewers, who will all be on the edge of their seats while watching the film, will have a change of heart and will be inspired to "resolve to make a difference in their lives and the loves of those they care about."
'Courageous' opened at No. 4 in its premiere and was in the box office Top 10 for a month. Distributed by Provident Distribution, the film is about four police officers who face their greatest challenge yet — fatherhood. When tragedy strikes home, these men bound by their professional calling 'to serve and protect' have to face their hopes, fears, faith and fathering courageously, and with God-given grace and confidence.
